The Position:  Project Architect, Research & Development Labs

  • Laboratory programming, planning, and design under guidance from Senior Architect
  • Coordination of engineering systems with subconsultants and trade partners
  • Assisting in the permit submission and review process
  • Development and management of client equipment schedules
  • Production of contract and construction documents
  • Assist in developing marketing collateral including renderings

Qualifications and Experience:

  • MArch or BArch degree
  • 1-3 years of experience in the planning, design, documentation, and delivery of laboratories, clean rooms, manufacturing facilities, and/or other highly technical project types
  • Demonstrable understanding of design guidelines and requirements for ISO, equipment schedules, material flows a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience using Revit & AutoCAD
  • A collaborative nature and a desire to see all team members succeed
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple ongoing tasks
  • Ability to commute to the office at least 2 days per week

The Position:  Project Architect

  • To lead internal project teams with the overall development and execution of contract documents.
  • To be a firm-wide resource for technical issues associated with constructability, detailing, and code.
  • Opportunity to work on large scale high rise full-building commercial tenant improvements.
  • Opportunity to work on collaborative highly integrated design/construction project teams

Typical duties include:

  • Attending design and construction meetings with clients
  • Leading internal team meetings to develop and coordinate design and construction documents
  • Leading the BIM and documentation process for large scale high-rise TI efforts
  • Code research and implementation strategies for complex TI interventions
  • Assisting with conceptualizing and developing project designs
  • Mentoring less experienced staff
  • Actively participating in construction administration
  • Potential to participate in business development and marketing efforts
  • Potential for some West Coast travel

 

Qualifications and Experience:

  • MArch or BArch degree
  • Architecture license, or on the path to licensure
  • 5 or more years of experience in the architectural field.
  • Motivated self-starter with ability to plan work for themselves and team members.
  • BIM integration knowledge for complex commercial TI projects
  • Experience with coordinating and overseeing large scale complex documentation efforts.
  • Excellent knowledge of building and fire codes.
  • Experience with permitting in Bellevue and Seattle.
  • Excellent knowledge detailing various aspects of projects
  • Ability to be nimble and strategically navigate prioritizing deliverables throughout deliverable process.
  • Shell and core experience a plus.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills

  • Mentoring junior staff
  • Actively participating in construction administration

Healthcare Planner

Full Time
7+ Years Experience

The Position:  Healthcare Planner

  • Programming and space planning healthcare and related projects
  • Conceptualizing and developing concept options based on healthcare delivery strategies
  • Lead planning conversations and respond to client needs
  • Potential to participate in business development and marketing efforts
  • Potential for some West Coast travel

Qualifications and Experience:

  • MArch or BArch degree
  • Healthcare Architecture education a plus
  • 5 years of experience in healthcare
  • Fluency in design guidelines and requirements for inpatient and outpatient healthcare projects
  • Experience with State Health Agency permitting requirements (DOH in WA)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience using Revit & AutoCAD
  • A collaborative nature and a desire to see all team members succeed
  • Motivated self-starter with ability to plan work and monitor project performance
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple ongoing projects
  • Background in LEAN, Evidenced Based Design or Patient Centered Design a plus
